Frustrated with Dell's sales team.. (personal)

I chatted online with a sales rep to get a quote for a laptop. I told the guy I was planning on ordering it TODAY (Monday), needed a smart buy (quick ship or whatever) unit so I could get it Tuesday.
He was actually quite helpful, got the price down to the limits of what we could pay, and sent me the quote.

I go to order it today and they tell me it can't ship today, it will ship tomorrow, and be here wednesday. That's cutting it really close for me. They also told me the quote expired, they were not able to give me the same price, and they have to charge full price for next day shipping (rather then the difference between 2nd and next day) even though I get that free 2nd day with the Advantage program.

I can't blame the lady I talked to today, she was REALLY nice and was as helpful as she could be. I wish the guy last night had told me that the quote was expiring. I wish he had told me that if I ordered it today it wouldn't be here tomorrow.

I really wish the rep today had the ability to actually make sure it could be shipped today or to match the exact price from last night. I mean, it was barely 14 hours ago.

Oh well. I guess I'll get it wednesday, have to put 7 on it, and all the stuff before my brother goes back out of town to college. I ordered it with 8 because it was cheaper. Money was an issue, and his laptop just up and died. So yeah....

ugh.

Not what I needed on a monday.
