Dell C1100 and SATA drive capacity

I just purchased a used Dell C1100 for home lab use. It will have a PERC5 RAID Controller and I plan on installing three SATA drives in RAID5.

My question is about capacity. On the spec site ( http://www.theserverstore.com/files/c1100_specs.pdf ) it says the max SATA supported is 2TB. Yet on multiple forums posts I see that people are using 3TB drives.

Will a Dell PowerEdge C1100 support 3TB SATA drives?
