Need config help with Dell 5524 PE Switch

I have a few of these switches I want to add to our HP switch environment.

Since, I am using cat5 to connect from HP trunk port to Dell 5524, I want to connect the uplink from the HP to Dell switchport 24

I'm not that familiar with the Dell commands, but on a HP I would TAG the uplink port on a particular vlan and simply untag the ports I want to use that vlan to get out.

I try this using this config for int gig1/0/24
switchport mode general
switchport general allowed vlan add 220 tagged  


then use same except have other ports allow vlan 220 untagged to get traffic out

it will not work though -

vlan 220 is a vlan for wifi aps

Any help would be appreciated.
