I ordered a Dell Inspiron Laptop on the 16th April 2014 and today (21st April 2014) i checked on the order status. Their website tells me that the laptop is "in production" but that delivery will only be on the 25th September 2014, ie in 5 months time. How can this be if the laptop is already in production? Surely this cannot be serious....bvut if so I want to cancel my order as I am not prepared to wait this long for a laptop delivery.
Surely before payment is taken, the consumer should be made aware of such a long delivery delay. Can anyone help please? Strangely I have also ordered a Dell all in one desktop PC (XPS 27) and here the website tells me the order is still being processed and delivery estimate is 25th May 2014, ie 4 weeks which is normal. However, i am now concerned that this date will have huge slippage once it goes into production status when cancelling this product will become nigh on impossible if you read all the bad press on the web about these type of situations
Can anyone help please and let me know if there is anything i can do to get the orders delivered more efficiently.
