Ive been working on my new M6800 for the last two months.
I have noticed, that my temperatures are rising really high on the CPU, while performing task like structural simulations in Solidwokrs o Ansys(CPU loading @ 100% for several minutes); working with filters in Photoshop CC2014 (for example, creating surface blur on a 36MPix image @ 16 bits takes about 12 minutes to finish - CPU all time all cores at 100%).
After installing HWiNFO64 - I can see, that 3/4 or 4/4 cores are throttling, while running those above mentioned tasks. My temperatures are peaking @ 98C, which is ridiculous, in my opinion. After some time, the CPU lowers its frequency to somehow handle those temperatures.
I have spent nearly 5000 for a mobile workstation, which is probably not capable of handling these type of loads. I have already contacted DELL...
