Currently running 4 cheaper SATA 512GB SSDs (Crucial M4 512GB) in a RAID 10 on my R510 and wanting to get some better supported drives in there. Server sees my SSD drives (and runs but always flashes errors on them due to being "UnSupported")
In fact all the drives in the server are UnSupported but the other 8 drives are NL-SAS 7200 drives bought aftermarket and work fine with no errors / warnings on them (SeagateST4000NM0023).
Its been ~1 year and I like the performance of the SSDs and ready for some nicer ones like these but might run the existing somewhere else (want to move more critical data into the SSDs):
Samsung 1TB Evo- ~ $450 each
Samsung 1TB Pro- ~$700 each
- However don't know if anyone has put them into a PE510 with 1 bays or not on a PercH700?
Anyone running Samsungs on an R510 PowerEdge 12bay? with no warning lights?
