Today we had an issue with our NAS box. It's a Dell NX3000. I'd had complaints from users that document access was slow and sometimes open documents were hanging. I decided to take a look I logged but RDP was completely unusable. Logging in locally was just as bad. Fearing the worst I decided to do a reboot and see what I could find in the logs. The machine rebooted fine if slowly but during boot it came up with an error
IDRAC Communications failure
And a blue box saying that the machine was rebooting.
I'm still fearing the worst and on boot it rebooted again.
3rd time's the charm they say and this time I decided to get the BIOS to boot into boot manager. this time I got the same error but was presented with "F1 to continue to F2 to launch the utility" (sorry can't remember the exact text but it's available in a link further...
