Windows 10, XPS13, docking station

Ok a lot of you probably have seen many of my posts battling with this laptop and Windows 10.  I think I've narrowed down the issue to the docking station, which docks with USB.  Our president just unplugs the cable and plugs it back in.  I've only dealt with the bottom ports docks, so I'm not sure if there's a special procedure when unhooking from a USB dock.  But from my testing and his it seems most of the issues arise during the docking/undocking.
