Hi Guys
I've inherited an old XPS400 (Core2Quad Q6600) tower that I'm trying to get up and running for a friend.
The problem I am having is that I'm getting the "System battery voltage is low" error message on every boot up - and the system clock is not holding the time.
I have tried new batteries - and more than one just in case the new battery was faulty - and I'm still getting the message.
I have also got the tower plugged directly into the mains, as I have read that plugging into a surge protector may cause this issue.
Has anybody got any ideas, or things I can try out to fix the issue as I am all out.
I'm hoping nobody says its time for a new motherboard!!
