I have a Latitude E7250 service tag 18V2662 with a peculiar problem. The spacebar sometimes inserts 2 or 3 spaces for a single strike of the spacebar. My users notified me of the issue within hours of my issuing it to her and Dell Support has dispatched multiple replacement parts and 2 onsite service techs to me.
First, they sent me a new keyboard. I replaced it. No change.
So they sent another new keyboard. I replaced it too. No change.
Next they send a tech out with another new keyboard and a motherboard. He replaced them.
Then the user had to be out of the country for several weeks. Upon her return she notified me the issue persists.
As a test I pulled her SSD and put it in an identical E7250 to make sure the issue wasn't with settings in her OS or her typing techniques. In this other E7250, she doesn't experience the problem.
