I have a Dell Powerconnect 6248 running software version 3.3.14.2 as my core switch. About every 12 hours this switch will reboot because the system runs out of Ram (displayed with the Show Memory CPU command). I have a Cisco 2921 running IOS c2900-UNIVERSALK9-M 15.5(2)T connected to port 1 - this is our Verizon MPLS connection. I have a VLAN setup for port 1 just for this connection\network. I have determine that if I disconnect the Cisco router from the switch the Available Memory Space jumps up to 23593 KBytes. When I reconnect the router the Available Memory Space decrements about 1 Kb per second. When the avaialbe space is depleted the switch will again reboot. I have tried differnet cables and different 6248 switches (all running 3.3.14.2) and the behavior returns.
