I've got a weird problem with a PS4100 array running FW 7.1.9, but i've tried a few different versions and the issue is the same. Essentially, I can bring the system up and get it fully initialized with the controller in slot 0, but if i try to failover to the controller in slot 1, it fails every drive in the chassis. It seems like the passive PHYs are to blame, as i've swapped controller 1 twice and get the same behavior, and have also tried different firmware revs. Not sure if I should try swapping the chassis next, or continue trying different firmware revisions, etc. I unfortunately don't have the luxury of trying different drives. These are all 500GB SATA 7.2k and originally came from an EQL system. Oddly, in my other PS4100 testbed, I have to use a SAS interposer board to get that system to see these drives, but this one...
