Does the PV MD38xx work with the MD14xx expansion enclosure?

I see that the manual for the MD38xx only shows the MD12xx series as a valid expansion, and I can't find anything official saying that it will work. Just a yes or no from someone in the know should suffice, a link to some kind of documentation supporting it would be even better. Thanks!
