Inspiron 7373 will not clone it's display to any projector via HDMI

I have an  Inspiron 7373, several HDMI cables and several projectors to connect to, on e of shich is Epson, the other two are DEll projectors.

This laptop will NOT clone its display over HDMI to the projector. I have tried multiple cables with multiple projectors. 

It will EXTEND to the projectors via HDMI.
It WILL clone it's display to multiple types of computer monitors via HDMI.  

Dell support wants me to send it to depot warranty repair for a video card change. I do not think that is the issue.

Drivers, firmware, BIOS, MS, etc updates are all current.

Any ideas?
