We're looking to purchase some new Dell laptopsvery soon (before the end of this fiscal year... so ideally tomorrow) and, since most of the options for customization are gone from their website, I don't seem to be able to spec out what I'm considering our new 'minimum' standard, which is:
- i5 processor
- 128gb or larger SSD (Too many failed HDs in recent history, and it helps productivity and battery life anyways
- 8GB of RAM
Since there doesn't appear to be a way to get these configurations in a 14" or 15" Dell laptop (unless I go down the Precision line, which is out of our budget for heavier laptops to boot), I'm considering just ordering the cheapest i5 laptops in the 5000 or 6 series lines and upgrading to SSDs when they arrive.
To that end, I had a couple questions:
- Will the OS Recovery media (we don't do our own imaging, yet) still work if...
