We recently purchased 8 Dell laptops with the Absolute security product installed during the system build. All systems arrived with no mention or installed software for Absolute. The Dell digital locker is empty as well.
Over the last three days I've used the little free time I've had between projects calling around to figure out how to get the Absolute product activated. I've never used Absolute before so it may be super simple but neither Dell or Absolute can tell me anything about using or activating the product on the laptops. This just seems crazy to me.
Absolute tells me that Dell must initialize the activation process. Dell acknowledges the systems were purchased with Absolute but have been unable to assist and most of my Dell contacts have no idea what Absolute is. I have a case in escalation but they tell me it can take between...
