Whenever my Dell PowerEdge 2950 Gen III server reboots it gets stuck at
Failed to Perform dissociation handshake for TOE initialization. TOE capabiltity is disabled for Embedded NIC 2.
I tried going to Dell's site they have a fix but the link is bad and they have no plans to fix it.
I tried removing the TOE Key but that hasn't resolved it I also tried to disable the TOE feature by running the command
Netsh int ip set chimney disabled.

So basically we have a Dell laptop I7, 16gb ram, SSD which is recently giving us quite a hard time blue screening minimum 3-4 times a day.... On bluescreenviewer it keeps saying its the ntoskrnl.exe and headed over to the real genius in IT (Google) and like most BSOD in my opinion its always related to faulty memory,drivers or the usual culprits. That being said here is what we find so far

Recently upgraded iDRAC to version 2.60.60.60
Last weekend the entire server went offline after Windows updates. On checking, the server was up but neither the onboard NIC or the dedicated iDRAC NIC could get a network connection. Fix was to move those connections to new ports on the switch and back in business. Switch was then replaced yesterday as IMHO it couldn't now be trusted.
All connections tested and everything fine. I was using the iDRAC last night.
This morning I notice that the switch port the iDRAC is running on is not registering a connection of any kind. A racadm getsysinfo looks OK. Run a " racadm racreset soft" and the iDRAC comes back online.
Q: Am I looking at a failing device here? Correlation with upgraded firmware?

We have a pair of N3048 switches, and a new Equallogic with 10Gb nics. We are already using the SFP+ ports on the front of the switches to connect to another switch stack.
Can these modules be used as though they were regular switch ports? Or are they special in some way that would prevent that? We'd like to get the most out of our new array, and not live on the downgraded 1Gb links.

Power outage took system down abruptly restarted came up with this error:

I chose F1 to continue it booted up but the fan and everything is loud
How do I fix this ??

There is a dell laptop which only has HDMI output and I got 2 x VGA only dell monitors. I want to get the dual display from this laptop.
I know there are docking station but it may only work, if 1 x monitor is DVI and other is HDMI.
Could you recommend any product for my set up or I will need to buy 2x HDMI monitors?

I have a Dell Unmanaged computing cart at a school that's been in for 4 years or so. It's full of Dell Latitude 3340 laptops.
Just in the recent few days, the teachers are saying the charging lights come on and fade out and then cycle around and then fade out again. I know it has zones and when it's first plugged into the wall it does some sort of diagnostics or check and then usually all the laptops, 28 of them, start charging normally. I've been keeping an eye on it tonight for the last 45 minutes and it keeps cycling from 5 ports to another and then all 15 on one side will turn on and then fade out. I checked one laptop and it won't even boot up with a critical low battery error at BIOS post. The cart just isn't charging them. I can take out one of the 65watt chargers from the cart and plug it into the wall and the laptop charges...

My problem is that the Ethernet Connection is not recognized, a IPCONFIG command doesn't show any of my network cards, WiFI or Ethernet, it's just showing the bluetooth one. Even when a RJ45 is plug.
When I plug a RJ45, there is a flashing orange light and a light staying orange without flash.
I already installed the last drivers (Bios, Ethernet, Wifi). I know the problem can be solved by a reinstall of the all OS Windows 7, so i guessed it's a system problem, can I solve it in regedit or something like that ?

We have been getting these errors on Physical Disk 4 on our first virtual host:
There was an unrecoverable disk media error during the rebuild or recovery operation: Physical Disk 1:0:4 Controller 0, Connector 1
I did what it said to in the comments which was to swap it out with a new disk. However, after doing this and letting it rebuild, the same error repeats over and over again.
What can I do to stop this? All the lights show as green on the OpenManage console and in the rack itself.
This is a Dell PowerEdge R625 with 4 disks on RAID 5.

This server was put together before HIPAA required encryption on resting data etc. There is no TPM chip in it. It is running SBS 2011, raid 5, 4 sas drives. The server runs an EMR software, exchange, DC, DNS, DHCP and acts as a shared file system on the local network.
I have been scouring the web looking for solutions without having to force them to buy a new server. From what I have seen, bitlocker seems to be the best way to go? Should I just order a TPM chip, install it, install bitlocker and encrypt the drive? The raid is one disk in windows, partitioned to a C drive (Windows/System) and a Data drive (exchange databases, EMR software, shared files etc)

Setting up new PE R740, couldn't get Lifecycle to find media so installed Server 2016 via usb. Now many of the drivers are missing (lots of exclamations in device manager) including the 10gb nic adapters.
Checked dell support site with the service tag but the list is long. What is a simple efficient way to install just the drivers this machine needs? Tried installing a file "Drivers-for-OS-Deployment_Application_RHM02_WN64_18.04.07_A00" but got message that is was already installed.
Not familiar with the Dell method. Can someone point us in the right direction?

Ok. I have put together the following
Dell XPS 8700 (2013 model) as a VM Host
Specs: i7 processor, 12GB RAM
Drives: (1) SanDisk 32GB SSD + (4) samsung 1tb sdds
In the Startup config of the Dell, i've grouped the (4) 1TB drives together in RAID 0. So the screen shows 3.6TB of usable space. Next I put VMware 6.0 on the SanDisk 32GB SSD. When I get into VMware and am looking to add storage it does NOT show the 3.6TB RAID as one volume, but instead shows the 4 individual 1TB drive.

I was curious if anyone has ever attempted this before..... You have a Dell Server with a Perc 6i array controller and 4 SATA 1GB drives running in RAID 5 configuration. Everything is happy and working well, but the server seems to be sluggish due to limited drive speed. I want to replace the drives with 1GB SSD's and so there is two ways I can go about this. 1. Image the server take it offline and swap the drives and rebuild array and restore image to new SSD array or 2. pull out 1 drive at a time and let the RAID rebuild on each SSD until all 4 drives have been replaced. Option 1 seems to be the safer choice from the array perspective but I am worried about DC replication issues if I take this server offline because it is 1 of 2 DC's in my network. I have a department which has Dell MFP 2375dfw and 2375dnf printers in each office. I just purchased new OptiPlex 7060 micro PCs with Windows 10 on them but did not realize that the 2375dfw/dnf printers are not compatible with Windows 10. I can get printing to work but not scanning. PaperPort 14 won't even load (which I knew beforehand) and Adobe Acrobat says it can't communicate with the device. Furthermore, the 7060 does not have Windows 7 drivers listed on the website so I'm not sure if I can downgrade or not.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I might be able to get these working?
How can I figure out what RAID level is on a Dell PE T620 server? I didn't set it up and there's no documentation. I'm looking in OMSA and I tried looking in diskpart but I can't find what RAID level it is. The server has 4 physical drives. Thanks!
